But what ‘s it all about?I thought I would share a bit of info from Belinda Jackson – friend and Online Marketing Guru, who recently spoke at a workshop. She shared with us how and why “blogging” is fast becoming the Ultimate Search Engine Traffic Magnet. Here are some of the key points from that workshop.

What is a Blog?
A blog is a self managed website which you can easily post articles and news items relevant to your business to communicate with your clients and visitors….

Benefits of Blogging……
• Easy to self manage & update
• Fantastic and immediate form of communication
• Provides useful feedback for your business
• Increases customer awareness of your business
• Search Engines love blogs
• Enables you to provide your enterprise to many
• Builds expertise & credibility with your target market
• Can also be used as a website

With millions of people using search engines everyday, setting up a ‘blog’ has become an essential development in marketing many businesses.

Blogging well…..
• Focus on your area of expertise
• Post your content on a regular basis to ensure that site is fresh and search engines continue to visit
• Respond to questions and comments quickly
• Involve you staff and invite them to post regular topics
• Keep your blog personal – write it yourself!

That’s a few things that I’ve picked up from listening to Belinda, and I have to confess to being a bit of a novice in this area…….but heh, I’m enjoying the learning.
