Today I have a long list……. a list of the things that I want to get done, the things that I should get done, and the things that I need to but don’t want to get done!! Sound familiar…….?
Self-discipline is an essential factor in developing your business success. It is the ability to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done – if you have the ability to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done, then you can say you have discipline.
Do you wait until your credit card is ‘maxed out’ before you think of becoming disciplined? Then you need to start taking steps to make effective changes.
Being a self starter and getting on and doing it as the owner of any business, you have to be the one in charge, so your levels of discipline need to be far greater that those around you. You need to be leading yourself and your team so that you can enjoy watching your team grow and succeed.
A simple analogy is Discipline v Regret:
Discipline = reward now and reward later
Regret = little pleasure & then guilt or no result
Some points to remember:
* Make changes to start to become disciplined…change could lead to failure but it can also lead to success
* The key to self discipline isn’t working harder but working smarter…learn to do this and life gets easier
* If you sit around doing nothing you will achieve nothing
* If you cannot get disciplined then get yourself a coach
Discipline is the absolute key to business success…in fact any success! Use it where you need it not where you don’t need.
So – take action to create a great business – get disciplined – the rewards you will get are today tomorrow and forever, when you do discipline yourself to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done!
