As we SPEED into another decade and 2010 – take the time to reflect on the past 12 months, then take a long hard look in the rearview mirror before you plan for the future!
Ask yourself…..
- How did your business perform in the past 12 months?
- What goals/milestones did you achieve in the last year?
- What difference has this made to you & your business?
- What can you see that has occurred that you would like lose in the distance in 2010?
Looking back will enable you to see the areas of your business that you can improve and what will help you to be an even better business person during this year.
While you are looking….reflect on which jobs you enjoyed the most, which were the most profitable, and think about how you can create more business like that in the future.
The definition of Reflection is the transference of an excitement from one nerve fibre to another by means of the nerve cells, as in reflex action…. So think about it……isn’t that how you should feel about your business?? If your business does not excite you then do something about it.
As it is when we are driving, don’t be forever looking in the rearview mirror – focus on looking forward and where you want to get to, and make the appropriate changes now that will get you there and have all your nerve fibres standing on end.
What do I need to be doing to excel in 2010??
Just like being behind the wheel of your vehicle – you never want to be without a rearview mirror and you always need to look in it – isn’t this what helps you to drive forward…?
So here’s the steps to take:
- Glance often in your rearview mirror so you can proceed with the right action
- Focus on the drive ahead in 2010
- Create an Action Plan
- Take the Actions required.
- Get someone to keep you accountable.
